This is what happens when a company attempts to do a background check on a potential or current employee by performing an online search without the person’s permission. As an employer, do NOT use a company who promises to show you criminal and/or credit information on someone without prior permission. Finally, the federal goverment is cracking down on these online companies who advertise these services.

Contract issues with background checks
About once a month, I get a call from a company saying they are required to run certain background checks for a contract they recently
